Not sure whether a topic like this has been started, but I don't think so, until now. *smile* Anyways, another Zoner and I had been discussing a song and the message it gives, which is good. So, I'm curious, what song(s) or piece(s) of music do you feel represent you? Also, which songs (in your opinion) do you think have a good point/message in what they are saying.
I have a few songs that I think represent me...depends on what sort of mood I'm in. If I'm in a really bitchy mood, it's "the reckoning, by boomcat", if I'm really happy it's "you shook me, by ac dc", if I'm sad it's "Adia, by Sarah McGlocklen".
If I'm feeling romantic it's "all my life, by KC and Jo Jo", if I'm just having a bad day it's "bad day, by Daniel pouter" [no pun intended]. The song that I like, that I think gives a good message is "don't cry, by GunsN roses". Not to sure what the message is, but I guess that it's open to interpretation.
Tubthumping by Chumbawamba (you're never gonna keep me down), like that one.
Life by Our Lady Peace (Life iswaiting for you, it's all messed up but we'll survive), it's true, at east in most cases.
Schnappy, because everyone could get snappy schnappy schnapp.
Disintegration by the Cure, not descriptive, not really a message per say but awesome metafore about the breaking of a relationship.
Heaven by Live (about having a baby, it's pretty)
A song the describes me would have to be "Unwell" by Machbox 20 and there are many songs that I feel have a good message. for one: "Life goes on" by the beettles.
